P.E.A.P.M.: (Polyethylene (A.P.M.)

Polyethylene is a high density but molecular thermoplastic. It has outstanding features due to its low coefficient of friction, its high resistance to shock at low temperatures and to chemicals, abrasion and wear. Its resistance is higher than most thermal plastics. It is generally used in the chemical, paper, mining industry, among others. It is self-lubricating; therefore, it can work lubricated-free, which makes it a suitable product for the food industry. It is SENASA approved as “food contact material” (Resolution No. 568/89). Among its uses, this material is used in the production of jams, or in frigorific or any other places in which certain hygiene standards must be met. This material can also be used in tubes, since it stands high speed but low pressure.
